Even though there won't be any good RPGs until I finish DERPS, what's your favorite in the mean time?

d20 system, with the uni system close second.
mostly due to the fact that I learned on a d20 system. I have yet to really enjoy a system as much as d20, but then again, I haven't used DERPS yet

sorry. I was meaning for it to be a sarcastic response. There's a lot of shit for that system, and I know it.

The battle waged on, long into the night, with neither side gaining, nor losing, any advantage. It seemed as if we would be fighting for an eternity, and had I not been lucky, we may have very well did just that.
The deciding blow was delivered when Loki made an all-or-nothing lunge at me, sending himself forward like a missile, but I was fortunate enough to dodge his attack, and as he pa$$ed by, I lodged my hammer between his eyes. The Uru too powerful to give, the same could not be said for Loki.
I left him on the ground, bruised and defeated, and returned to the mead hall for a well-deserved meal.
Some day soon, I feel that Loki and I shall meet on the battlefield yet again. As always, I'll be ready. I'll be victorious.

Look, the point I was trying to make, that is, before I was attacked, is that there is no perfect rpg system. The closest thing to accurately portraying combat is to live it. In fact, you should all pick up weapons and go on killing sprees in your local malls. Then, you will know what combat really feels like, and you can base a good rpg system off of your experience.
